All snuggled in at home and you start to prepare something amazing for dinner. You then realize there’s not a drop of buttermilk in the frig, but the recipe you are craving calls for it. What to do? No problem…..I’ve got you covered.
- 4 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar or fresh lemon juice
- 1 Cup milk
- Place the vinegar in a glass measuring cup and add enough milk to make 1 cup total liquid.
- Stir and let stand 10-15 minutes. It will start to curdle.
- Store in the refrigerator.
