Prepare this quick and easy holiday meal when you’re running short on time and a long list of things to do. Purchase a fully cooked ham. Score it by making 1/2″ deep long slices across the top in a criss-cross pattern. Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 2 1/2 hours.
While it’s baking, make the glaze…
- Mix together 5 cups Raspberry preserves and 2 1/2 cups Dijon mustard
- Pour 4 cups of this glaze into a serving bowl, set aside and use the rest to glaze the ham
Remove the ham from the oven and brush some of the glaze over the entire ham. Put the ham back into the oven for about 30 minutes to “anchor” the glaze onto the ham.
Time to serve…
Carve the ham into slices and drizzle a little glaze over the slices for a delectable presentation. Serve along side the remainder bowl of glaze and may I suggest…mashed potatoes?
As always, I welcome your feedback and comments, below. Try this recipe and if you prefer the traditional “cloves and pineapple”, let me know.
